US Dollar is gaining strength,because interest rates are so high in the US, investors are pulling their money out of other places to buy dollars, pushing its value up.

Euro & British Pound are taking a hit, since the US dollar is so strong, European money is losing ground. Slow economic growth in Europe isn't helping either.
